Last week I had the pleasure of photographing Katie and Joel’s maternity session. There is so much I want to say about this session! Katie is luminous, sensual, quirky, funny and utterly vibrant. The passion and love between her and Joel is electric…The joy, adoration and anticipation for their sweet baby girl, absolutely palpable.  I love that we were able to capture all those colors and feelings…that when I look at this session I see that it is completely ‘me’ but also so uniquely ‘them’. I left our session on Saturday feeling tremendously inspired and uplifted! I can’t wait to meet their sweet girl and photograph her birth! And this is why I adore what I do!

I just finished an incredible class on Clickin Moms, called Art of Observation, taught by the incredible Caroline Jensen and couldn’t wait to share my experience!!! The past four weeks I have been in my happy place–buzzing with ideas, eager to shoot and experiment! I have filled pages upon pages with ideas that I plan to revisit for months to come!

Caroline is a rare creative artist and it has been such a treat to learn from her, discuss, philosophize and experiment with her! Her material is though provoking and educational and her exercises on careful observation are absolutely life-altering from both a personal and artistic standpoint. Her passion and desire for artistic experimentation is absolutely contagious! Starting on day one our entire class abandoned comfort zones and swam in deep, adventurous waters…and it was magical!

I had the incredible pleasure of photographing this stunning Mommy just three days before she gave birth to her beautiful baby girl!  Natalie is warm, loving, nurturing and sensuous. She is already Mommy to wonderful six year old Gavin, who has the making of an incredible big brother. During our session, Natalie was overflowing with love, gratitude and palpable joy. I know how fiercely she hoped and prayed for this little girl and baby Grace reciprocated by dancing around and giving her Mommy the most beautiful glow! I feel so blessed to have been able to witness and capture their connection and utter bliss in sweet anticipation of her arrival! Now she is here!! I just can’t wait to meet baby Grace!

A few days ago I had the opportunity to shoot something I’ve always dreamed of: ballet-boudoir!

I have known Jess for a long time and was so happy when she approached me about this photoshoot because I knew it was bound to be a blast for both of us. Jess is stunning, confident, free and uninhibited. She moves with mesmerizing grace, fiery passion and magnetic sensuality. The photoshoot was a blur of playful giggles, creative exchanges and enthusiastic dance leaps on her beautiful Brooklyn rooftop! We were also graced with a stunning sunset at the end of our shoot! Needless to say, I was in creative bliss! <3
